632 NW 2nd, 325-576-3646 -25 private room beds - Built in 1947 as a community hospital through private donations.  The District was later formed by legislative law in 1973.  Our facilities were remodeled in 1980 through funds raised by Municipal Bonds services by levied dedicated tax monies.  

       Our Hospital offers state of the art services to the citizens of Hamlin, the Hospital District and beyond.  Our departments are:

            Radiology: X-ray, In-house CT, MRI scans, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, and doppler studies

             Laboratory  complet blood count study, blood chemistry, blood gases, urinalysis studies, cardiac enzyme studies, pharmaceutical blood level studies, microbiology culture studies and blood banking services

             Respiratory Therapy  Blood oxygen saturation testing, pulmonary functions, respiratory therapy for asthma, emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and repiratory infection

             Our services include:

                  In-hospital Pharmacy for acute care and for emergency cardiac care

                  Dietary service for patient meals, teaching of dietary control and  Meals on

                       Wheels - a community service

                  Physical Therapy is available three (3) days a week.  Occupational therapy

                        and speech therapy is available if needed.

                  Cardiac Rehab services is available for after surgery or as recommended

                        by Cardiologist

 

              Our nursing staff has

                    Registered Nurses (RN) certified in Advanced Cardiac Life

                        Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma

                        Nursing Care (TNC)

                    Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) certified in ACLS and PALS also

                    Nurses Aides that are Certified (CNA)
